Both fillies appear to have come out of their races at Southwell in find shape. We will be in no rush with Katie Kilminster but I’m delighted to have got that run and experience under her belt. I rather expect the handicapper to want Isle of Ewe to run again before he gives her a mark – but who knows what they think.

This morning most horses cantered on the sand. Russian Service, Hag Stone and Triopas schooled over 12 hurdles. Hag Stone mat head to Uttoxeter next Wednesday for a maiden hurdle.

This evening we loose schooled a 3-year-old by Scorpion who failed to sell at Doncaster May sale. We would have liked to have sold him but I like him a lot, and still believe the sire will produce some very good racehorses. We also loose schooled a Midnight Legend 3-year-old and New Member. All look natural.

I’m now taking the children for a swimming lesson. They can all swim but if they want to do triathlon they need to improve their technique to be competitive. Luckily, our neighbour’s kids are county swimmers so I’m expecting great thinks from these 3!
