Once out the other side of today, Agamemmon will head for his summer break, he’s achieved more than most horses in training this season by winning a race and hasn’t been out of the first 4 in 6 runs this time around. The blinkers today sharpened his jumping up and enabled him to travel better through the race. I don’t necessarily think he needs them going forward. What he needs now is a good summer under his belt and time to strengthen and mature. The rain softened ground didn’t help him today, but it was the same for all of them. He deserves his holidays now.

This morning Brandon Hill, Jester Jet, First Du Charmil, Equus Amadeus, Super Sid, The Big Bite, Snapdragonfire and New Member swung through on the woodchip. Many have entries next weekend and the ground will decide our running plans. We want rain in Ffos Las and clear skies in Liverpool please.

Sholto’s birthday today, 3 birthday cakes in 12 days is enough for anyone.

Tomorrow, all road leads to the Heythrop p2p at Cockelbarrow between Burford and Oxford on the A40, the weather is due to be fine so please come along, support the hunt and enjoy what will be a great family day out.  Sword of Fate runs in the last race on the card.
