February already!

There will be no shortage of heavy ground for a few days.

This morning we gave Pinnacle Peter and First Du Charmil a little blow before they jumped 6 hurdles. Bothe head to Towcester tomorrow, Pinnacle Peter is a huge horse who has yet to completely fill his frame. I did think that he was starting to realize where his feet were at Chepstow during his last run. First Du Charmil is a horse we’ve always liked, he simply fell apart after his bumper run at Southwell last year, he has schooled nicely and a solid run tomorrow will please us all.  There are no easy novices at anytime of year. Wherever we get him started we will be bumping into something that looks superior on paper.

Agamemmon, Russian Service and Shining Shire also jumped a few lines of hurdles. Amadoue, Sword of Fate, Zamarkhan and Space Safari jumped 9 plain fences and 3 ditches.

Robert Chugg was here with Tom Chugg to see his Kalanisi filly and Tom came to look at building my water walk way off the sand gallop. Not only will it give the horses something else to enjoy it will cool their tendons after exercise. Ice bath next!
