Nothing too serious for any of the horses, many have been busy and seem to be in good shape, those wanting better ground, which is plenty of them will have a few easy days. The ground seems to be heavy everywhere and then we have to go through the drying out ground which can be considerably worse than the heavy ground currently on offer.

Sinndarella jumped a few hurdles in preparation for her trip north on Saturday. She will be joined up north by Le Grand Fromage and New Moon. To read my thoughts click here

Kimberlite Candy was once owned by Dermot Desmond, he won a maiden hurdle at Ascot for us wearing his colours and I have remained on his Christmas card list ever since. On one side of the cards it bears Christmas wishes  and on the other side it lists ten quotes, some authors are unknown but they are always fantastic.

The stand out lot at Yorton sale today made £570,000 and heads back over the Irish sea to Gordon Elliott. It seems, nowadays that a figure of £500.000 plus is the price of the stand out lot at these p2p sales. Quite mind blowing given it wasn’t too many years ago that people rejoiced if they hit £100,000 with their p2p winners.
