Typical Monday morning canters for the horses soon came around again. Luck of The Legion is in good order after Fontwell and had another day chilling in the field, she will start to bob away again tomorrow. This morning Glory and Fortune, Christopher Robin, Lossiemouth, Red Nika, Le Grand Fromage, Sebastopol and Floating Rock jumped four hurdles on the all weather schooling strip and then five or ten flights on the grass. All went well.

No one likes to see a champion knocked off their perch but the press coverage towards Waldgeist, winning The Arc was nothing short of poor, Enable may have been the story but how sad for the connections of the winner to play second fiddle to Enable who was beaten fair and square on the day in those conditions. 

We’ve a busy couple of weeks ahead with some nice horses getting entries so have a lot to look forward to.
